Calling all Portland-area Surfrider volunteers and your friends, significant others and kiddos! We are having our annual Surfrider Holiday Party (RSVP here) on December 11, 5pm at 15 NE Saratoga St., Portland, OR 97211. This is a great opportunity for us to bring the whole group together as a thank you for all of your hard work throughout 2016. There will be food and drinks provided, and perhaps even a few give-aways as a token of our appreciation.
Thank you for being involved in Surfrider's efforts to keep our environment healthy and pristine, through local efforts to clean up the city of Portland by way of getting involved in things like our Green Streets cleanups or helping us launch our Hold onto Your Butts cigarette disposal #HOTYB program. These efforts also have a greater positive effect to Oregon's beautiful coastline, which suffers when trash makes its way into our waterways and out into the ocean. Compounding our clean-up efforts are educational programs and lectures put on by our Chapter, water quality testing, and state-wide policy efforts, to ensure that Oregon beaches and the adjacent ocean habitat is protected for generations to come. Thank you for your contributions.
