Join us Monday, April 22, EARTH DAY, from 11am to 4pm at Portland State University's fabulous Earth Day Festival! Make plastic mosaics at Portland State's Earth Day on this Monday the 22nd! Jacque Rodriguez- Secretary PDX, will be at the Surfrider Foundation Portland Chapter table. Jacque recently captained the Otter Rock Cleanup, collected, washed, sorted and re-sorted bits of plastics from Oregon beaches. Come and make your own mini mosaic! We will be using reused cardboard as the backdrops and wheat paste as the glue. We will also have needles and thread if you want to sew on bigger pieces. As a founding member of the Newport, OR Chapter, Charlie has greatly advanced Surfrider's mission through ocean conservation as the Oregon Policy Manager. He’s led a critical role in ocean protection through strategic engagement of our Oregon chapter network in policy initiatives, grassroots campaigns, and community-based projects. With a BS in Marine Biology and as a member of the Oregon Ocean Policy Advisory Council, Charlie’s ties to the ocean reach far and wide.
