Blue Water Task Force Internship - North Coast Lab

Surfrider is seeking an intern, preferably that resides in a coastal community between Seaside and Manzanita, to help further develop the scope and effectiveness of our Blue Water Task Force (BWTF) North Coast lab. Our Blue Water Task Force water quality monitoring program, is comprised of over 100 volunteers  in Oregon who monitor over 41 recreational beaches for public health through six different BWTF labs and programs.  Our program is the only year-round source of coastal of water quality data (350+ samples/year), and has provided the foundation for many collaborative solutions to water quality issues on the Oregon coast, including the recent victory at Short Sand Beach.

North Coast BWTF Internship

Internship activities will include the development and execution of a bi-monthly water quality monitoring plan, organizing 3-4 partner agency/citizen training workshops, and the development and execution of an outreach and education plan.
