Join us Sunday, Sept 16 from 2pm -5pm for an Ocean Friendly Garden BBQ! We'll meet at Pete's house (4001 SE Ivon St 97202) to install rain gardens in the front and back yards. All supplies will be provided and no experience is necessary. We'll also have a keg of donated microbrew from Craft Brew Alliance and non-alchololic beverages plus a BBQ afterwards for all participants! This is a great opportunity to learn how to install your own rain gardens, and to meet Hannah Snyder of Rain City Gardens who is our lead landscape designer for the project. Also, at the next Portland Chapter meeting on Tues, Sept 11 from 7:30 - 9pm at the SE Lucky Lab, we'll have a short presentation on Surfrider's Ocean Friendly Garden program and the upcoming work party.
