Surf Food offers "mayhem on aquatic theme"

Artist/Surfer Andrew Rodman and the Return of Thringst, Feb 16th

"Surf Food," a showing of original prints and paintings by Andrew Rodman, will open Thursday February 16th, 5 pm, at Salvage Works in the mythic Kenton neighborhood of North Portland.  Highlighting Rodman’s opening will be a free and open air 7:30 p.m. performance of "Wet Dream--Theater of the Submerged" by Thringst, blending live music, video, drama and general mayhem on an aquatic theme.

Rodman has been active in Portland’s art scene since the 1980s.  He is a Newport based surfer and artist working on the themes of the oceanic food chain hierarchy, with linoleum prints, ink on wood and paper, oil paint and other mixed media.
