Please join us on August 4 at 11:30 AM at the SE Portland Boathouse (East Side of Hawthorne Bridge) for a Hands Across the Sand paddle event on the Willamette River! Bring your kayak, SUP, canoe or surfboard or rent from Alder Creek Kayak who are offering a 50% discount on kayaks and SUPs to all event attendees (call to reserve ahead). We'll meet by the Surfrider tent in the gravel parking lot next to East Esplanade (1515 SE Water Ave 97215). We'll have a Surfrider table with info on Portland Chapter's many volunteer opportunities. Hands Across the Sand is a grassroots event opposing offshore drilling and supporting clean energy. At noon, we'll join hands in solidarity with events around the world and then go for a group paddle on the river!
