The weather was just right for the annual Otter Rock -N- Roll kid’s surf competition this June in Newport, Oregon. The volunteers from Warm Current got to the beach on Friday afternoon and pushed some smiling local kids into their first waves!
On Saturday, sunny weather and clean surf rolled in to hold the final heats on an ideal International Surfing Day. The crew from Portland Chapter of Surfrider went out for an evening session at Agate beach before heading to Charlie’s for a BBQ party. A roaring fire, friendly company, and a keg from Ninkasi (and some home grown mushrooms from Gus!) were among the highlights of the evening.
