September Stormdrain Marking Sessions

By

Well, the nice summer has continued here in Portland, and Pete, Ray and I got to spend a nice late summer's evening marking stormdrains in NE Portland's Peninsula neighborhood. We got 25 drains marked and left behind a bunch of doorhangers.

After finishing up marking we chowed down on brownies and ice cream... volunteering does have its benefits! We'll continue marking in October if the weather is nice, otherwise we may begin our winter project of keeping some of Portland's bioswales happy and healthy with the City of Portland's Green Streets Program.  Come join us in our efforts to keep our local waterways clean, the second Tuesday of every month.  Contact us at at stormdrainmarkingpdx@gmail.com to get involved!  - Gregg
